CSI Awards 2015 - Nominations and Voting Now Open!

The CSI Awards' nominations process is now open!

This year, we have re-jigged the categories so that there are even more opportunities for scrutiny panels, tenant inspectors and mystery shoppers to celebrate their fantastic contribution to service improvement.

In addition, we are delighted to announce that tenants have the opportunity to vote for the best landlord - there are six award categories that will be decided by tenants' choices. Voting is easy - just go to the CSI website and cast your vote! Postal votes will be accepted if anyone does not have internet access. Just contact me for further information - call me on 07967 342436.

Money Training for Children

LLP NewsThrough the work I am doing with a new Scrutiny Panel in the Manchester area I have had the pleasure to meet an inspiring money trainer and author called Annie Chisambo.

Annie has her own training company called Elshaddi Money Training Ltd, and she offers training to schools, so that children can learn to budget and save. Annie is also an author and has written 3 excellent books for children about budgeting.

What a great idea to educate young people about money - I could do with attending one of Annie's courses!

Consumer regulation

Consumer regulation The Homes and Communities Agency has today published it's latest annual report about the complaints it received from tenants in 2013/14.

407 of the 509 complaints received were dismissed as being outside of the regulator's remit. Of the remaining 102 complaints, only 40 were subject to investigations (in line with the HCA's filtering system for complaints).

Only 3 cases were found to have met the 'serious detriment' test, all of which related to gas servicing arrangements.
